I learned a lot in this module! Check out some of the things I worked on below:
What did you learn?
I learned about how to make my designs a lot better. I make a lot of graphics for my involvement on campus, and reading all the tips from the Intro to Design Background was very helpful. The biggest thing I learned is that aesthetics are nice, but making an impact is what matters most. What is the point of making a pretty advertisement for an event if anyone can read it?
What did you enjoy? Why?
I really enjoyed the photo safari. It was really interesting to look at things that I see in my day-to-day life and analyse them using everything I learned. It was nice to be able to implement and make connections that helped me to be able to absorb the information more easily than I would if I just read about it. I also really enjoyed reading The Vignelli Canon. Especially since design is not something you would see a bigger book about. As an English major, too, it was nice to see that implemented.
